Think Kit 2013 #6, Community Involvement

Think Kit 2013 #6, Community Involvement
Day six of Think Kit 2013.  Here is the prompt that was received, How do you want to get involved in your community this coming year?  Do you have a great idea that just needs a little momentum?  Share how you'd like to get involved in your community during 2014.

Involvement

Great topic. A few answers come to mind right away.  The first thought is a simple answer... photography and video.  Over the coming year, 2014... the goal is to build relationships with local not-for profit organizations and help them move their cause forward by telling their stories through the lens of a camera.

It's really that simple.  Pictures and video.

If interested, examples of my work can be found in the photography section of this site.

The inspiration for the idea comes from the work of Esther Havens.  After following her work for a number of years, it has been inspiring to see how she has brings together multiple passions together with the aid of a camera.

Momentum

The idea may grow into exciting directions, but for now... keeping it simple makes it actionable.  If you know me... of course the 90 day micro-strategy from Dave Logan and Culture Sync will be used!!!  What better way to get a project moving?  Break it down into small steps where the proper action can be applied.  If you are interested in what the 90 Day Micro-Strategy is all about, check it out below.

Closing

Over the coming year, this micro-strategy will be shared through this website/blog.  It will turn into it's own small series of blog posts on how to use the micro-strategy and to apply it to anything that needs to get done.

If there are any questions, please feel free to leave a comment.  Also, thanks to Smallbox for coordinating the Think Kit project! If you are interested in dusting off that old blog and adding some new super fresh content, jump in the conversation (#thinkkit) and signup for the daily prompts.. they rock!

Until next time...

Peace out doggies!
